Oval nails are the joiner’s second-fix nail. The oval shank, driven along the grain, splits timber far less than a round nail, and the small head sits flush or punches below for a tidy, fillable finish. These bright carbon steel ovals come in 40mm to 100mm, loose by weight, for skirting, architrave, mouldings and general interior joinery.
